I hope you know

I have enjoyed watching the Mormon Message clips others have posted and decided to go look for one I could share. All of these short clips are so well done, but I particularly like this one, "Hope Ya Know, We Had a Hard Time." Perhaps this title caught my attention with last week being midterms, but I am sure it is because I have been thinking a lot about my plans for the coming holiday season and ways to share my joy with those I will have the opportunity to come in contact with. I hope this brings a little light to your day and perhaps inspires you to share the love.

Fall Favorites

1. To start this little segment off I have to share with you Gatorade's new low calorie G2. I have been unusually dehydrated since moving back to Idaho and this has saved me from many fainting spells, I am sure, after leaving the gym. So a big THANK YOU to the Gatorade people who came out with this low calorie alternative to the very delicious sports drink fav. There is nothing else like it!

2. This fall favorite came from a week bedridden with the nasty flu (p.s. I am all better). As I was desperately searching for something to watch I wandered on over to Lifetime and clicked on a GREAT movie Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy (October is Breast Cancer awareness month).

-About the movie-
"Having recently graduated from journalism school and landed her dream job at "20/20," the last thing 27-year-old Geralyn expects to hear is a breast cancer diagnosis. Trying to find herself, while losing her vibrancy and her looks, Geralyn discovers a story of self-acceptance by relying on her courage, her humor and, of course, her red lipstick." ~mylifetime.com

So now, my red lipstick gives me courage!

3. After walking outside in the crisp air it is such a treat to come home, make a cup of hot chocolate, curl up in a blanket and warm up from the inside out.

4. I go through spurts with music, sometimes I can't get enough and that usually leads me to moments in life when I have had just enough. Now, I realized I just needed some fresh are and this talented lady brought be just that. Regina Spektor has such a unique voice that is rather refreshing. So head on over to your favorite music site (i tunes, Pandora, or whatever you like) and take a listen. Perhaps you'll like her too.
Fidelity is one of her most popular and a good one at that.

5. I love TLC, they have some great shows on there, but my recent love is Cake Boss. Buddy comes from a traditional Italian family and is an extremely talented cake master in New Jersey. After watching a few episodes I am determined and inspired to make an amazing Halloween cake so watch for some pictures!

6. My roommate has introduced me to a new cite called My Life Is Average and it has done wonders to make me laugh at least a few times each day. Here are some finds, nothing big just little funnies.

What are some of your fall favorites?

After Hours of Anticipation

This summer I was able to learn some of my mothers tricks of the trade (wife, mother and entertainer) in the kitchen. I insisted on paying close attention to everything in hopes that I too can become a master in the kitchen. While the desire for cooking a full blown meal is few and far between I love whipping up a nice treat to share with friends and conference weekend was a perfect opportunity to make some delicious homemade cinnamon rolls.

I always forget what a long process it is, everyone keep asking if they were done yet. FINALLY right before the second session of conference (I had been working on them since the start of the first session) the perfectly plump rolls emerged from the oven and were a definite crowd pleaser.
