Cheerleading.

As most of you know I cheered last semester at BYU-Idaho, this was a great experience and I loved every minute of it. The weather made it a little harder to love sometimes with the freezing rain and then snow, but there is just something magical when you combine a large band and a good crowd add a football team and that turns into every cheerleaders idea of a perfect performance!

As it turns out this week I was talking to one of the girls who is the spirit coordinator on campus and she has offered me the position to coach the cheer team next semester! This has been a dream of mine, I always thought coaching would be 2X as fun as cheering. The best part of this is that with a semester or two of coaching I can then apply to be a directer in the student athletics department, this position would result in a semester scholarship which is very exciting!

Temple Trip!

My Young Single Adult Ward had a temple night, it was a great experience to go to the Raleigh temple. It is very beautiful! I believe it was opened in '99. The picture is not the greatest but I just loved being there so much I had to post a little something about it.

Half and Half

I am officially at my halfway mark of my time here in North Carolina. I have truly enjoyed the time I have spend here. Annie and I have been attending the UNC gymnastics meets together. It has been fun to shee them compete and to explain whats going on to Annie. After every performance she turns to me to ask how they did. It has been fun to do things just the two fo us. I am looking forward to the adventures that are still to come! I am headed back west to Lake Tahoe with the family early in March for a 10 day ski trip. This is very exciting for me, I have never been skiing or snowboarding, this will be a great adventure! I plan on taking plenty of pictures to document all of my fumbles.

With my off track almost over I am getting anxious to return to good 'ol Rexburg. I have spent the better part of today outlining my class schedule for the next few semesters. I am very exciting about my religion class in particular. I will be taking Old Testament, it covers Genesis through Deuteronomy while learning to read Biblical Hebrew. This will be a challenge however i couldn't be more excited to start! With my Sophomore year well underway I am getting more into my specialized courses. I will be taking a mass media course as well as a business writing class, it will exciting to start working on PR project and get a little taste for whats coming quickly in the future.

Feeling the LOVE

Valentines Day ended up being a great day! I spent the day working, to my surprise i received a package in the mail from my roommate in Idaho... thanks Paige! That evening Ashley, Hilary and I curled up next to the fire, sipped hot cocoa and watch Sleepless in Seattle. These two girls have quickly become great friends and we have had so much fun laughing and hanging out together! I hope that everyone Valentines Day was fun and spent with those who you love.

We received a "starter" for Amish friendship bread, so i have been in charge if the bag. The process for making the bread takes 10 days and is full of daily tasks, sometimes its just "mushing" the bag of ingredients or adding milk, flour and sugar. Although the entire task gets to be a nuisance the bread is delicious! Keeping with the festivities of Valentines day i decided to bake heart bread and cut one as a broken heart just to complete the set.

Franklin Street

The month of January ended with the family in flordia for a friends Bat Mitzvah and my friend Megan coming to visit for the weekend. Megan and I cheered together last semester at BYU-Idaho and she lives two hours away in Virgina. It was a fun filled weekend. We toured Franklin street which is next to UNC and has plenty of fun stores. We both got our Carolina blue shirts to wear when we watch the basketball game, GO TAR HEELS! This picture is taken on Franklin outside of a little coffee shop, after shopping we headed back to my house and had a party with friends from the ward. The pool house was a lot of fun swimming in january! We also had snacks, a ping pong compition and a movie. It was a long weekend full of laughs and plenty of fun!
